Decomposition of Carbon Dioxide by the Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) Plasma Using Ca_<0.7>Sr_<0.3>TiO_3 Barrier

Ca<SUB>0.7</SUB>Sr<SUB>0.3</SUB>TiO<SUB>3</SUB> was sintered adding Li<SUB>2</SUB>Si<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>5</SUB>, and used as a dielectric barrier of DBD to decompose CO<SUB>2</SUB> for the first time. DBD plasma was successively generated using Ca<SUB>0.7</SUB>Sr<SUB>0.3</SUB>TiO<SUB>3</SUB>. CO<SUB>2</SUB> was converted to CO and O<SUB>2</SUB> by DBD plasma without catalyst and reducing substance. The CO<SUB>2</SUB> conversion using Ca<SUB>0.7</SUB>Sr<SUB>0.3</SUB>TiO<SUB>3</SUB> barrier was much higher than that using conventional barrier material such as SiO<SUB>2</SUB> and Al<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>.
