抄録
In the Rokko granite area, many slope failures were caused by the destructive acceleration of earthquake mortion of the 1995 Hyogo-Ken Nanbu Earthquake. The essential movement type of their initial failures was topple due to the force of inertia. Frequency of the collapses is high in the fresh fracture-poor granite and the larger granite boulders on the ridge, but low in the decomposed or fracture-rich granite. The orientation of collapsed direction, which have been controlled by orientation of the horizontal acceleration, tends to trend perpendicular to seismic faults.
