抄録

We report a rare case of respectable localized malignant peritoneal mesothelioma. A-72-year-old, weman ad-mitted for epigastic pain was found in computed tomography and MRI to have a tumor 80mm in diameter ex-tendingthe right lower abdomen. Prospective diagnosis was gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) of the small intestine, necessitating open laparotomy resection. The tumor was detected, 100cm on the oral side the ileum. The tumor did not directly invade surrounding organs. After partial resection of the small intestine un-der general anesthesia, histopathological diagnosis was localized malignant peritoneal mesothelioma. This dis-ease generally has a poor prognosis and requires strict follow-up.
