本文は, 医薬品における副作用データベースに関して開発された情報システムについて記述している。このシステムは, 医薬品の安全性と有効性に対して効果的な情報を提供するよう考案されている。その目標は, 医薬情報の整備と利用者にとっての効果的な意思決定の支援である。まず最初に, 副作用情報の必要性について述べ, ついで, 開発された副作用データベースについて整理する。最後に, より良い医薬品情報システムの方向性について考察を行う。

This paper presents an information system newly developed for the harmful side effects data base. This system has been devised to give useful information for safety and efficacy of medical supplies. The goal of this information system lies in improving medical and in helping the users make their decision. Firstly, it describes the necessity for full information of the harmful side effects. Secondly, it presents a newly developed harmful side effects data base. Finally, the author gives a guiding consideration to better the system.
