新しい学際的学問領域の形成を目指す「情報文化」には, 幾つかの柱となる理論の出現が待たれている。その柱の1つを構築するための足掛りとして, 多くの歓迎すべき萌芽的提案がなされようとしている。本稿は, その1つの試みとして, 「カルチャウェア」の概念を定義付けながら, 情報技術と文化との関わり合いについての基本的考え方を示す。検証事例の不足を容認できれば, 本論は情報文化としての発展的可能性を示唆するとともに, とかく技術偏重に落ち入り易い情報社会に, 若干の方向修正を促す契機を提供することとなる。

Any fundamental theory is looked forward to in the Information culture which forms a new interdisciplinary field of various knowledges. Many interesting ideas will be suggested in order to establish the basis of the Information culture. This study shows a fundamental view for the relation between the information technology and the culture, by giving a definition of a concept for the Cultureware. This paper suggests any possibility of a development in the Informationculture and offers an opportunity to take a way to more fruitful results for human being, even though only few related facts are examined.
