For tracing or finding the lost goods, we need active-type of RFID tags with built-in batteries, but those active tags have significant drawbacks such as the higher hardware cost and the finite battery lifetime. In this paper, we propose "double-decker" RFID tags, which can be separated into the two parts of ID tags. The new type of RFID tag is useful and cost-effective for tracing/keeping of a large number of goods. We present the basic structures of the double-decker tags and show some typical applications.
