A novel organic–inorganic hybrid tungstoantimonate Na[{Cu(2,2′-bpy)(H<SUB>2</SUB>O)}<SUB>2</SUB>{Cu(2,2′-bpy)}<SUB>2</SUB>(<I>B</I>-α-SbW<SUB>9</SUB>O<SUB>33</SUB>)]·2H<SUB>2</SUB>O (2,2′-bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) was synthesized hydrothermally and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, EPR, TG, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction, whose polyoxoanion consists of two [Cu(2,2′-bpy)]<SUP>2+</SUP> and two [Cu(2,2′-bpy)(H<SUB>2</SUB>O)]<SUP>2+</SUP> complex groups grafted on a trivacant polyoxoanion <I>B</I>-α-[SbW<SUB>9</SUB>O<SUB>33</SUB>]<SUP>9−</SUP> skeleton.
