Abstract
In this paper, simplified equations were derived about relation between the commutation surge voltageand key factors of Current Source type Inverter (CSI). And the new commutation method is proposed. The new method is verified by calculations and real test. The new method can decrease the commutation surge voltage smaller half than conventional method.<br>And error between data calculated with equations derived in this paper and results of real test is smaller than 5%.
