Abstract

This study aims to be a first step for examining the landscapes of the settlements, which are not under Landscape Planning System and Projects. As a case study, in this research, Arata in Hyogo Pref. were analyzed. The following surveys and analyses were done 1) grasp of present condition of settlement space, 2) analyze of structure of landscape that resident evaluates; 3) forecast of change in landscape of the future. As a result of this paper, these were cleared that 1) the frame of the settlement such as the composition and shape of road and position of the buildings and so on in the site, are sustained, though the designs such as buildings and walls have changed, 2) there are five types of landscape that the residents evaluated. As for them, there is the possibility to be destroyed by the residents' individual replacement in the future.
