Abstract
Town centre revitalization is one of the great issues in small cities. Not only are the regional shopping centers, but public buildings such as town hall, medical facilities affected to these declines. This paper deals with the move of medical facilities from town centre to the suburban area in Japan. Firstly, the study reviews the current situation of medical facilities under the local medical care plans and the tendency of move of medical facilities, followed by the analysis of its influences to the people in Anjou City by the Huff's model, based on the travel cost. From the analysis, following points are identified; 1) most moves of medical facilities from town centre to the suburban area were materialized by the local authorities; 2) moves of medical facilities were not great issue for local people, because of the out-of-town residential populations.
