Electrochemical reduction of dioxygen to water proceeds through the 2,6-dichloroindophenol (DCIP)-mediated and <I>Acremonium</I> sp. HI-25 ascorbate oxidase (ASOM)-catalyzed reaction. The optimum pH of the reaction has been proven to be neutral pH 7.5.
