ポリカーボナートとポリエステルとの相溶化におけるモデル反応解析 Analysis of Model Reactions in the Compatibilization of the Polycarbonate/Polyester Mixture
We have already reported that reactive extrusion of a mixture of the polycarbonate (PC) with the amorphous polyester, poly (ethylene terephthalate-<i>co</i>-cyclohexylene dimethylene terephthalate) (PETG), in the presence of multiglycidyl agents gave the corresponding higher performance polymer blends. In order to investigate the reactions during the reactive extrusion, the mixtures of several model compounds for repeating units, chain-end groups and the compatibilizer were allowed to react in an autoclave (N<sub>2</sub> 5MPa) at 220°C for 8hr. The products in the model reactions were analyzed by GC/MS, FT-IR and FT-NMR spectrometry. The oxirane group in the compatibilizer was found not to react with ester and carbonate groups under the above described condition. On the other hand the reactions of the oxirane group with carboxyl and hydroxyl groups proceeded frequently.
