Abstract

Functions of extremities are based on the dynamic stability of the trunk. The dynamic stability of the trunk is maintained by the integrated function of passive tissues, active tissues, and nervous systems. Local muscles which are located deep in the trunk have an important role for the segmental stability of the vertebral column. In this article, I focused on the functional aspects of these muscles and described the method of evaluation and training for those muscles.<br>
