Abstract

97農場のバルク乳および12農場の搾乳牛221頭の生乳から<I>Staphylococcus aureus</I>の分離を行ったところ, 直接培養により12農場のバルク乳 (12.4%) から, 増菌培養により20農場 (20.6%) から本菌が分離された. 個体乳検査では, バルク乳から分離された5農場中4農場と分離されなかった7農場中2農場で, 20頭 (9.0%) から本菌が分離された. 分離株8株は, <I>S. aureus</I>エンテロトキシン (SE) を産生し, SE型別は, SEA3株, SEB4株, SEA・SEB1株であった. 以上の成績から, 農場毎のバルク乳からの<I>S. aureus</I>分離により牛群の保菌状況を推察できることが示唆された.

Individual milk samples from 221 cows in 12 herds and bulk milk samples from 97 herds wereexamined for<I>Staphylococcus aureus</I>.S.<I>aureus</I>was isolated from bulk milk samples of 12 farms (12.4%) by direct culture and from additional 8 farms (8.2%) by enrichment culture, while from 20 (9.0%) individual milks from 4 of 5 herds where S.<I>aureus</I>was isolated from bulk milk samples and 2 of 7 where it was not isolated. Enterotoxigenicity was detected in 8 isolates, and 3, 4 and 1 of them were of types SEA, SEB and SEA-ESEB, respectively. The results suggested that bulk milk culture might be indicative of microbial pollution of thedairy herd.
