Abstract

Thirteen-year-old female Maltese, with dry cough was shown to have the dilated right atrium and ventricle by thoracic radiography and a mass at the right articular appendage stenosing in- and out-flow of the rightventricle by ultrasonography. The other case of 9-year-old mixed breed dog showing severe depression and diarrhea was revealed to have the round-shaped heart and pericardiac effusion by radiography as well as a mass stenosing the right ventricle inflow at the right articular appendage by ultrasonography. The two cases suddenly died two weeks after the diagnosis, and postmortem examination demonstrated hemangiosarcomas in the right articular appendage.
