Abstract

An 11-month-old female Chinchilla cat with recurrent hematuria, was shown to have a fused kidney in the right peritoneal cavity by selective arteriography, showing a single renal artery and two renal pelvises. Laparotomy revealed crossed renal ectopia with fusion morphologically similar to the human lump kidney and a small allantoic diverticulum. The both renal veins and urethrae were normal as well as the ovaries and uteri.
