Abstract

A 6-year-old male Persian cat was presented with a 1-week history of sneezing and nasal secretion. The cat developed dyspnea and respiration with the opening mouth on the 235th day of the condition. Radiography revealed epipharynx narrowed by a mass protruding from the skull base to the oral cavity, and the patient died 52 days after this presentation. At autopsy, the tumor was shown to penetrate the base of skull reaching the palatum molle. Histologically, the tumor composed of polyhedral eosinophilic cells infiltrated into the brain tissue, diagnosed as pituitary adenocarcinoma.
