Abstract

It was found that pure white emission is obtained by adding Rubrene into the PVCz based polymer light-emitting diode including emissive dopants of TPB and NileRED. We investigated electrical and optical properties of Rubrene concentration in the range up to 0.23wt.%. In results, the luminance and threshold voltage were significantly improved at concentrations of 0.05-0.07wt.%. Rubrene is expected to increase the emission intensity from NileRED by energy transfer process. The device exhibits a pure white emission with color coordinates of (0.336, 0.329), luminous efficiency of more than 4-lm/W and current efficiency of 11.3cd/A, respectively.
