Abstract
It is demonstrated a new TN-LCD, called FM-TN-LCD, that is doped with Pd nano-particles covered with NLC molecules having an opposite Δε (Δε<0) to that of the host twisted NLC (Δε>0). Luminance level and threshold behaviors of the FM-TN-LCD are controlled by changing the frequency of the applied voltage just above that of the pure TN-LCD. This effect may open a possibility in the electronic diving method.
