Abstract

A 76-year-old female had a 5-year history of vulval pruritus, which had not been treated, and a 1-year history of erosion that occurred with exacerbation of vulval pruritus. The patient consulted our department for phyma that had been increasing in size at the same site. A phyma measuring 3.0 × 1.8 cm in the clitoral region and bilateral inguinal lymph nodes swelling were observed. Tumorectomy and bilateral inguinal lymphadenectomy were performed. Pathological findings suggested spinocellular carcinoma and left inguinal lymph node metastasis. Clinical and histopathological findings strongly suggested primary clitoral carcinoma. The patient died of systemic metastasis one year after surgery.
