抄録

We reported a case of hemangioendothelioma that was found in the maxillary gingiva of a 5-year-old boy. He complained of repeated bleeding in the left maxillary gingiva.<BR>Arterial embolization of the maxillary artery was performed in the preoperative therapy; then partial maxillectomy and buccal fat pad transplantation was performed. Microscopically, proliferation of endothelial cells were found in the several parts. (epithelioid type)<BR>Although there is no recurrence and dysfunction of the maxilla 5 years after the operation, careful follow up is necessary.
