Abstract

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>The preparation of molecular recognizable hybrid materials with cucurbituril was achieved by applying sol–gel reaction in an aqueous formic acid without any functionalization of cucurbituril moieties. The hybrid materials obtained showed good film forming properties and benzene recognition abilities.</jats:p>
