Perovskite-type proton conductors can be used as the electrolyte materials in fuel cells, hydrogen sensors, hydrogen separation apparatus, and the other electrochemical devices. In this paper, the crystal structure analysis of perovskite-type proton conductors under cell operating conditions by using a laboratory X-ray diffractometer with a parallel beam optics are introduced. The crystal structures of A<SUP>3+</SUP>B<SUP>3+</SUP>O<SUP>3-</SUP>type perovskite proton conductors, (La<SUB>0.9</SUB>Sr<SUB>0.1</SUB>) M<SUP>III</SUP>O<SUB>3-δ</SUB> (M<SUP>III</SUP>=Sc, In, and Lu) are reported, and the expected change in proton conduction path is discussed with an increase in tilting angles of BO<SUB>6</SUB> (=M<SUP>III</SUP>O<SUB>6</SUB>) octahedra. In addition, the electron density distribution of (La<SUB>0.8</SUB>Sr<SUB>0.2</SUB>) ScO<SUB>3-δ</SUB> compound is shown.
