Abstract

There are several formulae for influence radius. In this paper, their theoretical definitions are made clear and categorized to the definitions. The features of the calculating drawdowns, which are suffered from these definitions, are summarized. Because the work teaches us that it is important to understand a mechanism of supplying water for aquifers, a new formula for drawdown in an aquifer with rainfall supply under a pumping work is proposed and its features are tested. Finally, usages of the influence radius from Thiem method are proposed.
