数値流体計算による円弧翼翼列特性の推定 Prediction of Cascade Performance of Circular-Arc Blades with CFD

The thin circular-arc blade is often used as a guide vane, a deflecting vane, or a rotating blade of low pressure axial-flow turbomachine because of its easy manufacture. In standard design, a carpet diagram is used for a cascade of circular-arc blades. However, carpet diagrams cannot be used to predict the characteristics outside of the range currently covered such as a high camber angle, a high stagger angle or an off-design point, and individual experimental data is needed. Therefore, Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a very promising method for analysis. In this paper, the results of CFD have been compared with some experiments and a potential theory, and useful information has been obtained. The turning angle and the total pressure loss coefficients can be predicted satisfactorily for camber angle less than 50°. For the high camber angle, 67° , the results of CFD agree with the experiment for angle of attack less than the impact-free-entry flow.
