Abstract
Depolymerization processes of spent plastics by using sub- and supercritical fluids are reviewed. Condensed polymerization plastics are monomerized by solvolysis in sub- and supercritical fluids such as water or alcohol. Development of chemical recycling system for PET using supercritical methanol is described in detail. The reaction mechanism and kinetics had been studied and commercialization oriented study was carried out with pilot-scale plant.
