It is reported that metastable excited particles affect the breakdown properties of nitrogen gas under low pressure extended over a long period. The purpose of this study is to confirm the influence of metastable excited particles with the high pressure condition and to reduce the influence by metastable excited particles. In the experiment, the delay time was measured and number of primary electron was evaluated. The test was carried out in N<sub>2</sub>/NO, N<sub>2</sub>/CO<sub>2</sub>, N<sub>2</sub>/SF<sub>6</sub> and N<sub>2</sub>/NO/SF<sub>6</sub>. The decrease rate of primary electron number supplied by metastable excited particles is higher in N<sub>2</sub>/NO than in N<sub>2</sub>/CO<sub>2</sub>. In N<sub>2</sub>/NO/SF<sub>6</sub>, it was more effective than two mixture gases.
