Abstract
This paper proposes a method of a mobile robot's self-localization by use of the passive RFID system and Support Vector Machines (SVMs). By using the SVM, we don't need any bothering tasks to measure the geometric position of each RFID tags. Moreover, the method works even when several malfunctioned tags are included. The ability of the method are confirmed in our test, and we conclude that the method has high performance.
