Gas chromatography (GC) equipped with a sniffing port evolutionally developed an odor analytical method. Furthermore, Gas chromatography⁄Mass spectrometry (GC⁄MS) or 2-dimentional GC⁄MS equipped with this made it more accurately. On the other hand, trapping methods of volatiles, such as dynamic head-space, absorbent trap, TwisterTM trap, trapped odorants enough to analyze them by this method. This was applied to some printings. The odorants from printings could be classified into some causes. Odor analysis should be conducted first of all to deal with an odor trouble, because the analytical result is able to make clear the cause, which will lead the counterplan.
