Abstract

It is expected to design safety mechanism based on international standards, in the wave of sophistication and globalization. This paper shows the results of developments and evaluations about e-learning program (eSAFE) for education of safety engineers. E-learning contents (11 subjects) have been developed, and delivered to students in other national colleges of technology for credit transfer. Open source LMS (Learning Management System) is applied and enhanced functionally by using intelligent bulletin board system and report system. The former presents simulation tool and filters objective topics. The latter can evaluate the degree of coincidence with each report. These functions are experimented with actual reports of students. Also, automatic mentoring mailing system is developed and evaluated in cohort based model of e-learning.
