Abstract

The Food Recycling Law enacted in 2001 developed legal systems for promoting emission limitations on food wastes through the control of waste generation, including both volume reduction and the development of systems that can effectively utilize these wastes.<BR>The revised Food Recycling Law was promulgated in June 2007 and enforced in December of the same year. Amendments included a legal obligation to submit periodic reporting: overhauling of the authorizing system for recycling and utilization projects: and the inclusion of the term, heat recovery. This paper outlines the revised points, which aim to reinforce supervision and surveillance on food-related industries, while facilitating corporate engagement in recycling.
