Abstract

A 91-year-old man enterred, because of high fever and dyspnea. Chif complaints improved by treatment of bronchial asthoma. Accidentally, CT scan of the lower chest showed a hepatic tumor. Transverse colon cancer was diagonosed with abdominal enhansed CT scan, contrast enema and colonoscopy. Transevers colectomy and enuclation of hepatic tumor was performed. Histological examnation of resected hepatic tumor showed that no malignant cells were in the tumor, but remarkably infirutaration of inflammatory cells were finded. The lesion was diagonosed as inflammatory pseudotumor. The patient remains well without recurrence 3-years scince surgery.<br> Inflammatory pseudotumor of the liver is rare. This disease is difficult to diagnose preoperativly and often diagnosed as metestatic liver tumors when found with malignant tumors.<br> We report a case of hepatic inflammatory pseudotumor with transverse colon cancer.<br>
