抄録

We transfused circulating primordial germ cells (PGCs) of chick embryos into quail embryos. To distinguish between quail and chick PGCs, PGCs of the 2 species were immunohistochemically stained with 2 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), QCR 1 and 2C9, quail and chick PGC-specific mAbs, respectively. Quail embryos transfused with chick PGCs were observed at stage 29 of Hamburger and Hamilton's developmental standard. Transferred chick PGCs settled in the gonads and constituted 5.6% of total PGCs in the gonad.
