抄録

Postoperative stenosis of the neofrontal ostium remains the most significant problem after the endoscopic modified Lothrop procedure (EMLP). We evaluated the size of the resultant neofrontal ostium after EMLP with frontal sinus punch in 7 patients during an average 13-month follow-up. The size of the neofrontal ostium was defined as patent in 6 patients, narrow in 1 patient and stenotic in none under endoscopic evaluation. EMLP with frontal sinus punch can preserve the sinus mucous membrane and decrease potential scar formation and osteogenesis of the drainage pathway of the frontal sinus.
