Abstract

In the knee obtained from rats, the long axis of tibia was inclined against that of patellar tendon by the external rotation of the tibia. Under this condition, tensile and fatigue tests were performed. Stress concentration was induced in the lateral portion of patellar tendon, and the fatigue strength of patellar tendon decreased.
