抄録

An attitude survey about hand hygiene among clinical laboratory technicians in our hospital found low levels of recognition of necessity and understanding of methods of hand hygiene, with differences between individual clinical laboratory technicians. Therefore, guidelines were established in the clinical laboratory about the timing of washroom visits, the use of gloves for specific duties, and the conditions of release from gloves, as well as education about hand hygiene. A similar attitude survey five months later showed improvement in awareness and increased use of hand hygiene protection, allowing evaluation of associated practice. The guidelines for the clinical laboratory and education were effective for the improvement of hand hygiene among clinical laboratory technicians.
