抄録

This paper reports on a patient with divergence paralysis who received successful early surgical treatment with a good prognosis.<br>The patient was 34 years old and suffered a head trauma from a fall from his horse. Homonymous diplopia for distant objects occurred just after his head trauma. Despite medical treatment and divergence training using a synoptophore for three months, the divergence paralysis still persisted. For occupational reasons, he could not wear prism glasses. Subsequently, a tuck was made in the medial recti three months after the onset. Diplopia dissolved after surgery and the prognosis of this patient was quite satisfactory.
