  Perioperative pressure ulcers tend to occur in a specific location. However, there are few reports that have studied risk factors for perioperative pressure ulcers associated with a particular position. Therefore, we retrospectively investigated 21 potential risk factors for perioperative pressure ulcers associated with neurosurgery in the park-bench position by using logistic regression analysis and factor analysis.<br>  Pressure ulcers occurred in 20 of 66 cases. Surgery that lasted more than six hours (P=0.013), hidropoiesis (P=0.048), and high core temperature at the end of the operation were significantly associated with a higher risk of pressure ulcers. As a result of this study, we have started to manage patients without hidropoiesis to prevent the perioperative development of pressure ulcers.
