In general, composite laminated cylindrical shells exhibit the effect of lamination constitution due to anisotropy and unsymmetry of lamination. In this paper, the buckling problems of carbon-fiber/epoxy (CFRP) cross-ply and angle-ply laminated cylindrical shells subjected to simultaneous loading with hydrostatic pressure and torsion are considered. The effects of stacking sequence, number of layers, lamination angle, buckling modes, load ratio and dimension of cylinders, on the buckling value are analysed by assuming the buckling patterns which satisfy the Donnell-type equilibrium equations.
