Abstract

This paper presents a maximum power point tracking control method with quadratic approximation. To generate maximum power from the solar cell, a terminal voltage of the cell is obtained from parabolic curve through three points near operating point. The experimental system is constructed with this method and DSP controller. The solar power is converted into three-phase AC one by IGBT voltage-type PWM inverter.
