Wiki web, a new collaborative system, is applied to online collaborative writing for Japanese EFL students. Based on the review of the issues in giving online feedback to student writing, the advantages of the Wiki web in writing instruction are discussed. Current problems and their solutions are sought as future perspectives are presented for further research.
