Abstract
In Oinokobumi Basho, thinking that there is only one that is appreciated commonly, put Saigyo and Sogi's poetic soul and his haikai world into the same origin. I tried to throw light on how Basho built up his poetic soul by means of thinking about suggestions Basho's "Shigure" received from Sogi and comparing the section of Nasuno in Okunohosomichi with Sogi's Shirakawakiko which was written by taking the same place as the object.
