Abstract
Spodoptera litura male moths of natural sources were captured in virgin female traps as early as March. They were trapped in greatest abundance the period from August to October. The total number of captured males per night was hardly influenced by alterations in the number of traps in operation. The outermost traps tended to capture more males on the average than the intermediate onces. In terms of catchability, traps 5 m away from a 20 watt blacklight appeared to be considerably inferiro to those placed at distance further away.
