抄録

Our research group has collected sediment cores for the last 35 thousand years at Lake Tougou-ike of western Japan. Non-glacial varves of the brackish lake sediments could have recorded seasonal to annual changes of climate and sea-level. In addition, these sediments as timekeepers showed that climatic and sea-level changes of natural environments have influenced human activities.
