動植物性材料の乳酸菌発育促進効果について Growth-Stimulating Effect of Animal and Vegetable Materials on Lactic Acid Bacteria
Our twenty three reports on the growth-stimulating effects of the aqueous extracts of animal or vegetable materials, and inorganic or organic substances added in skim milk on lactic acid bacteria were summurized. In these reports, it was elucidated that the main stimulatory substance for two strains of Lactobacillus casei in aqueous extract of green laver, sea lettuce, rice germ and phytin was manganese, and the existence of other growth-stimulating organic substances in these was suggested. And the effects of inorganic salts, amino acids, nucleic acid derivatives, and organic acids on the growth of these strains were examined. Effects of the substances stimulatory for the two strains on the growth of other lactic acid bacteria were investigated, too. The type of stimulating, inhibiting or non-effective substance for growth was different for each strain.
