Cervical verrucous carcinoma is a rare subtype of squamous cell carcinoma. This carcinoma presents some specific clinical characteristics such as verrucous phyma formation, remarkable malignant development, tendency of frequent relapse, rare regional metastasis, absence of remote metastasis, negative reaction in cytological diagnosis in spite of obvious inflitrative cancer in corposcopic diagnosis, benignant evaluation often under-diagnosed in histological biopsy diagnosis, etc.<BR>We reported, in this paper, a case with cervical carcinoma, who was 50 years old and had experienced pregnancy 4 times and delivery twice. In cytological diagnosis, no specific findings suggestive of malignancy have been verified, while dyskaryotic cells are present. Her background was relatively clear and free from inflammatory and malignant findings, but it seems worth noticing such findings as numerous keratotic fragments in various sizes and shapes, pearl formation, keratinized cells, vacuolization of intermediate type cells and the same remarkable keratinization found in cytological diagnosis of cells scraped from the portio and from the cervical canal.
