抄録

Various types of LCD test cells using optical alignment film OptoAlign^TM were prepared. Characteristics of alignment, V-T curve and response time of cells using optical alignment films were measured and compared with those of cells using mechanical rubbing films. And the difference of properties between the optical alignment and mechanical alignment was discussed. These optical alignment cells show similar performance as mechanical ones.
