High Field Magnetoabsorption of Hydrogenic Excitons at Second Direct Gap in InSe

抄録

The magneto-optical absorption of the E1′ exciton in γ-InSe has been measured at 4.2 K in pulsed magnetic fields up to 378 kOe. The measurement in the Faraday configuration gives the reduced effective mass μ=(0.119±0.007)m0. The measured mass parameter shows that the N-th interband Landau transition energy lies above but parallel to the (N+1)-th excitonic level observed in high magnetic fields.
