抄録

The valence band structure of transition-metal compounds was studied by X-ray spectroscopic technique. The M_2,3 emission band spectra, M_2,3 photoelectric yield spectra and X-ray photoelectron spectra of valence band of Ni-, Co-, Fe- and Mn-oxides and chlorides were measured and compared with those spectra of the respective metals. Interrelations among these three different types of spectra were investigated for each element. The structures observed in those spectra were analyzed, resulting in consistency with the models proposed previously.
