A 1-year old boy was admitted to our hospital a total of 6 times in the last 10 month because of recurrent intussuscepiton. The intussusception was reduced in our department each time by a hydrostatic barium enema. Even though there were no symptoms of intussuception before operation, laparotomy revealed intussusception in the ileum, 70cm from the ileocecal valve, with a protruding 2.5×2.5cm tumor as the leading point, located in the antimesenteric area of ileum. Therefore, the resection about 10cm long was made of ileum, including the tumor. The patient made an uneventiful recovery and has had no more recurrence. Pathologic findings showed pancreatic tissue located in the submucosal layer of the wall of the ileum, and histologically it was a Heinrich type II.
